History
The Firm opened its doors in downtown Manhattan, NY in 2008 after principal attorney U. Alexander Eze moved on from Shearman & Sterling LLP and Ernst & Young prior to that, to build a practice that would help underserved sections of the business community in their tax struggles. The firm expanded to the Houston, Texas area in 2017 to further its mission of bringing business and tax law counsel to businesses that can afford a few good lawyers but not a major firm.

U. Alexander Eze
From working at the prestigious firms Ernst & Young and Shearman & Sterling LLP, to opening his own practice in 2008, Alexander has represented businesses and individuals in finance, accounting, tax and litigation for over 18 years. He has consistently been a trusted and respected advocate for his clients who often see him as a resource when it comes to any business issue and especially when the IRS asserts a liability. He has successfully advised clients and provided legal opinions on matters including Passive Foreign Investment Company (PFIC), Controlled Foreign Corporations (CFC), Foreign Investment in U.S. Real Property Act (FIRPTA), Cancellation of debt income, Net Operating Loss (Section 382) Carryforwards, bankruptcy restructuring and business entity tax structuring.
As a tax controversy lawyer, he has structured offers in compromise reducing hundreds of thousands of dollars in liability and has successfully defended numerous clients in IRS audits and Department of Treasury investigations. He is also admitted to the U.S. Tax Court since 2008 and has successfully defended clients in court and in negotiations with the IRS.
